Couples Can Remain Together At The Knolls Care Centre

There’s now no need for couples to live apart when moving into long-term care.  At The Knolls Care Centre, located on Plantation Road in Leighton Buzzard, there is a choice of 6 individual rooms that are ideally suited to couples, wishing to remain together during their stay.

Kate Dellit, Manager at The Knolls said, “We are often told how difficult it has been to find a care home capable of providing this type of accommodation, which we feel should always be an essential element of the range of choice available to residents.  Just because a couple is moving to long-term care should not mean that they need to be separated from each other, so we have made a concerted effort to cater for their needs.”

Each room is designed to accommodate two single beds and residents with differing levels of care needs can also be individually accommodated at the Care Centre.

“We would encourage couples requiring long-term care to visit with their families and see what we can offer.  The benefits of being able to remain together can be significant and we aim to do everything possible to ensure that a move to a care home enhances, rather than diminishes, a couple’s relationship.”
