12th Annual Millbridge Dog Show & Summer Fete Raises £1,118.96

On Sunday 11th August, Millbridge Care Home hosted its 12th annual Millbridge Dog Show and Summer Fete within the Home's delightful grounds in Lynn Road, Heacham.

The Dog Show has been running for over 20 years and is a major event within the local calendar.  This year, judging was orchestrated by Mr. & Mrs. Greeves, local dog experts who also assisted in judging the world famous Crufts.

On the day there was also a children's fancy dress competition with two categories, age 3 - 6 and 7 - 10 years old, and prizes for the best entries.

A host of stalls, including tombola, raffle, bric-a-brac, cake stall, various games and craft stalls were enjoyed by all, as was the delicious BBQ that was working at full pace all afternoon.

A big thank you to everyone who helped with the organisation of the event and also to everyone who came and supported us on the day.  A total of £1,118.96 was raised and will be added to the residents' fund to providing transport for trips out to flower shows, events and the Christmas Panto. The residents and relatives meeting will decide how the remaining funds are utilised.
