Clarence House Care Home

***2 Week Respite Packages Now Available from £950***

Clarence House is a 41-bed care home situated on the Norfolk coastline, close to the holiday town of Cromer with its famous pier and crab-fishing heritage.

A high proportion of the accommodation enjoys superb sea views, with the ever-changing light providing a relaxing backdrop.

Originally a renowned hotel, the home now caters for residential clients and has benefited from a newly landscaped sea frontage, providing access to the grounds for those residents able to take advantage of the short walk.

Current developments at Clarence House include; new carpeting, re-decorating, upgrading of the communal areas, including the bathrooms with improved bathing equipment and a programme of improving the existing parking area.

The dining room is bright and cheerful, with views out to sea, and our kitchen has recently gained an excellent  “scores for doors” rating of 5 from North Norfolk District Council (simply follow this link to learn more).

The following letter is reproduced by kind permission of Kate Willis after being sent to the Editor of the Eastern Daily Press:

Dear Sir,

Residential care for the elderly often receives a bad press, and perhaps rightly so, but I would like to tell your readers of the exemplary care received by my elderly mother at Clarence House Care Home in Mundesley.

Like many independent people, she was reluctant to leave her own home but due to increasing fragility and some confusion, the move to residential care became a necessity in the last few months of her life. She was treated by all the staff and carers at Clarence House with dignity and great kindness.

Through your pages my family would like to thank them publically for the care she received at this peaceful and well managed home.

Yours faithfully

Kate Willis
