Old Wall Cottage Nursing Home, Betchworth, Surrey

Full Time/Part Time Healthcare Assistants, day and night shifts available: You must be compassionate and dedicated, preferably with experience in Dementia care, but full training will be given. You will need to be flexible with work hours as this position is shift work and includes weekends/nights and your own transport is essential due to the location of the home. You should be person centred and committed to supporting choice and independence and willing to take on further responsibilities including care planning, leading shifts and assisting with the administration of medicines. You will need to be a car owner and driver.  Position is subject to a probationary period and uniform will be provided. You will need to supply two references - one of which must be your current or last employer. Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced disclosure. Activities Co-ordinator (30 hours per week):
To organise and provide a varied and a person centred activities programme, showing consideration for the needs, wishes and desires of the individual residents preferably with experience in Dementia care.  You will need to be aware of current legislation regarding activities in care homes and have experience of working with the elderly or a similar area.  You will need to be a car owner and driver.  Flexibility in important in this role.  You will need to be pro-active and show initiative to accommodate the individual needs of the residents.  You must be computer literate and be able to create a programme of events for the residents and for the home.  Local knowledge is essential for sourcing any available local support from the community e.g. schools, churches and other groups.  You must have good communication skills/adaptable.

Housekeeper (24 hours per week) 8am – 2pm or 9am – 3pm.  To cover weekdays and weekends:
We require a domestic/cleaner to work in our team, to clean and ensure a safe, comfortable environment at all times, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
You will need to be a car owner and driver. 
• To ensure all public areas, lounges, corridors are cleaned according to schedule.
• To clean residents rooms, considering residents rights to privacy, paying attention to high dusting and moving of furniture.
• To clean all WC’s and bathrooms as scheduled.
• To shampoo carpets as required.
• To clean all cleaning equipment, and report all damaged equipment to maintenance
• To observe COSHH and other health & safety regulations including infection control.
• To ensure residents safety whilst using cleaning equipment.
• To take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of residents, staff and visitors during cleaning.
• To completing relevant documentation as required
• To order and maintain cleaning stock

The Knolls Care Centre, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire

Full Time/Part Time Care Assistants, night shifts available: we are seeking reliable care assistants to provide care with respect, dignity and in a way that promotes independence. Pay rates start from £7.95 depending on experience and are reviewed after a three month probationary period. NVQ2 and NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care would be beneficial but not essential.

Senior Care Assistants, night shifts available: we are seeking experienced Senior Care Assistants to support the Nurse in charge and Head of Care in the provision of the highest standards of care to our residents, delegate to junior members of the team and supervise their work, ensuring standards are maintained. Rates are between £8.30 and £8.60 per hour depending on experience.
